Mentoring workshop (Parents and Grandparents)

Students  invite parents or grandparents and they offer their knowledge, helping them use their smartphones. They successfully learned how to use Instagram and they made their first post. Both students and parents/grandparents volunteer for this activity.

4th grade students volunteer to help their colleagues to learn more about technology, apps, programs, in order to use them at making projects, or at homework. They cooperate in order to create a poster about volunteering. Special needs students were included.

Come back to sport

In December, Ms.Nicoleta Mocanu, from the NGO “Come back to sport”, volunteered to come to teach our 5th grade students to be positive (with laughter therapy) and to have a correct posture (with posture exercises), while sitting for 6 hours per day, at their desks.

Let’s talk about volunteering!

On October 24, 2024, at the “Nicolae Iorga” Secondary School in Ploiesti, the students of the fifth grade participated in an interactive activity about volunteering held by two volunteers from the Prahova County Youth Foundation.

After the interaction with the volunteers, teachers designed a Kahoot for the students, inviting them to find the correct answers about volunteering. Kahoot  

Christmas Fair

Students sold food, drinks, objects. The money will be used to build an outdoor classroom.

Be a volunteer! Help an animal shelter!

In December 2023, about 200 students took part in the volunteering activity of helping an animal shelter. The students and their parents bought food, blankets, toys and other materials for the animals in the shelter.  

From Garbage to ART

In November 2023, about 300 students and 15 teachers took part in this activity. They created different objects from recycled materials. The objects were displayed in school, as an exhibition, to be admired by all the students, teachers and parents.

We celebrated Water Day

On 22nd of March, 2024 we celebrated World Water Day. About 100 students took part in a treasure hunt; they answered general Knowledge questionnaires about water and took part in a competition. The first 3 winners received presents. All the participants were offered a T-shirt and a pen, from an NGO.
