On Wednesday, November 20, 2024, the 6th-grade students of the 19th Primary School of Katerini visited the Kapnikos Stathmos to assist in the construction of a Christmas tree made from recyclable materials. This tree will adorn the Kapnikos Stathmos during the Christmas season, sending a message to everyone about the importance of a circular economy and environmental protection.
After being informed by the coordinator, Ilias Tsolakidis, about the harmful consequences of daily plastic bottle usage on both their health and the environment, the students enthusiastically began volunteering their help in constructing the tree.
Later that afternoon, the teachers of the 19th Primary School, along with their families, also contributed to completing the project.
